VW T5 - Carpet lining choice - Veltrim

I'm planning to use the van for mountain biking and sea kayaking trips so I want a tough, tightly woven carpet lining. After sending out a few emails and doing some research I decided to go for a carpet called Veltrim.

I purchased standard Veltrim from Harrison Trim Suppliers, it's advertised as "easily stretched around corners and into those most awkward places" however, be warned, it's far from easily stretched.

We initially tried to cover the wheel arch, but it proved impossible (for our level of expertise anyway). We decided not to complain or sent it back because it was clearly very tough and we will just use it on the wall panels.

We have ordered up 5 metres of stretch carpet for the wheel arches and other awkward bits, let's hope the colour matches!
